The Historical Advisory Committee has been collecting interviews of residents involved in the Town's founding. They have also interviewed Mayors to record their memories and perspectives during their time of service; as well as other persons who had served the Town with distinction.
The committee felt strongly that the readers should enjoy the “naturalness” of the conversations. No attempt has been made to present the interviews in any other manner.
Occasionally words were not clear in the recordings and could not be recovered though much effort was given to the task.
Memories and perspectives of the interviewees, the reader will discover will not always coincide with the text gleaned from the scrapbook-news clippings. Perhaps the “facts” are somewhere in-between. Who knows?
Names and places are spelled correctly to the best of our efforts.
Enjoy!
