Two new Paradise Valley Police vehicles will be hitting the streets shortly. The cars will be operated by patrol officers and used to enforce traffic laws and to respond to various types of calls for service to include emergencies. The new vehicles are 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe’s and they will be replacing two 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe’s that had over 135K miles on them.
These vehicles give the officers the resources that they need to perform their job efficiently. Each car is equipped with specific gear and equipment such as the LED lighting that enhances the visibility of police presence in Paradise Valley and mobile computers that allow officers access to the tools they need.
To keep uniformity with the current patrol cars, the black and white paint color and decals on the new patrol vehicles are the same as the rest of the fleet. The new cars allow officers to serve the community and it ensures that they have the reliability to respond to emergency calls for service while providing for the public safety needs of the community.
